THE VENEZUELA OIL DEAL: AMERICA TAKES A COMMANDING ENERGY POSITION

President Donald Trump has struck what the administration describes as the largest oil deal in history, putting the United States in a powerful position over more than 65 billion barrels of proven Venezuelan oil reserves—at no cost to American taxpayers.

⛽ THE DEAL — IN PLAIN ENGLISH

65+ BILLION barrels of proven Venezuelan reserves are being placed under long-term private concessions.

North American Blue Energy Partners (NABEP) receives 100-year concessions covering 17 oil fields.

The U.S. government receives a 35% equity stake in NABEP’s corporate parent at no taxpayer cost, potentially worth hundreds of billions of dollars.

The State Department gets the right to buy 20% of NABEP’s production at production cost, creating a low-cost supply for the Strategic Petroleum Reserve, military and other critical uses.

The U.S. gets first refusal on the remaining 80% in emergencies.

Washington gets veto power over board appointments, while a majority of the board must be U.S. citizens.

The agreement is governed by U.S. law and U.S. courts, with American auditors, lawyers and advisers.

Venezuelan oil is expected to flow through American refineries and infrastructure, potentially generating billions of dollars of U.S. investment and thousands of American jobs.

💰 VENEZUELA GETS A MASSIVE REBUILD

NABEP says it could invest up to $100 BILLION rebuilding Venezuela's neglected oil infrastructure.

Under Venezuela's new hydrocarbons law, the administration says the resulting production could generate approximately $200 BILLION in taxes and royalties over the first 25 years for Venezuela.

The objective: restart crippled oil fields, increase production, create jobs, generate government revenue and rebuild the Venezuelan economy.

🇺🇸 AND THE GEOPOLITICAL MESSAGE IS LOUD

The administration says many of these oil assets were previously controlled by Russian and Chinese interests or Maduro/Chavez-linked operators.

Trump's strategy is therefore bigger than oil.

It is about pushing Russian and Chinese influence out of the Western Hemisphere and putting American energy, infrastructure, capital and supply chains back at the center of the region.

The White House describes this as the reassertion of the Monroe Doctrine—America drawing a hard geopolitical line in its own hemisphere.
